I tend to have a gradient of acceptance with regards of fanfic of copyrighted stuff. For me, the more of a generic fantasy species something is the more tolerant I am of them being used in fanfiction, while the more of a specific character something is the more I dislike seeing them get used in fanfic in any way whatsoever.

As such, in my opinion pokemon is more or less on the very tip of the generic side in this case.

Well I don't get bothered at all by pokemon, plus some people do interessing things like a fusion, infestation, robotic, alternative, and anthro versions.
