For those who wish to contact me for conversation..

First off - I apologize to those who have attempted to contact me for contact information in the attempt to speak with me. I am very flattered that you have extended a hand to get to know me better, and I'd be more than happy to talk to you - but I have had problems in doing so.
Allow me to explain.
I feel as if I have reached critical mass, or even surpassed it, with regards to how many people I have contact with. This is not to say that I could not be friends with more - but I do not come onto my computer to solely talk to people. I do artwork, homework, and play games too. In order to do these things and talk to people takes a fair amount of my concentration as I am no master of multitasking. In fact - I am probably pretty bad at it. I don't think I can read and listen at the same time (thus I probably IM less if I'm in a skype call). Many many people who talk to me know that I am notorious for not responding for 30 minutes to an hour, or just forgetting to respond at all.
Why have I not responded to at least tell you that I won't add you to my contact list? I find it rude to say no to someone who just wants to be your friend - especially when many of you are people who I would probably get along with quite well. It's hard for me to say no to people. At the same time - it is hard to say yes as well. I don't want to add someone just to nearly ignore them as I do other things.
I also want to apologize to those I already have contact with. I know it can be frustrating to talk to me. I would be frustrated too if someone I wanted to talk to was constantly poofing for long periods of time without a peep. I often have the problem that, when I say I'm doing something, it often splits off into a conversation instead of sending the message that I will probably have delayed responses. I don't mean it to say that "I'M BUSY, DONT TALK TO ME" because then I would never talk to anyone because I am -always- doing -something- (which is why I wonder how some people can -always- be bored - there's always something to do!) I guess I am not sure what I want, really. I don't know how to manage everything well.
I'm sure someone could suggest that I work offline, or just don't come online until my work is done. Or I could always show myself as offline. Or I could just cut people from my chatlists. There's solutions which fix certain issues, but they often break things too.
This has been on my mind for a while now, so hopefully letting it out will help a bit. One more week of summer classes woo!

You probably will want to take it down.
And you ignored my joke v.v; and totally just downed on my icon.
Also, yes. Your joke went over my head since people will often reply to journals and totally miss the point while reading only what they want. Generally sarcasm needs to be a little more blatent than that.
..now..off to find a loophole since I rather like the art I did for this icon ._.
And i looked at the rules. Its ok. its nonsexual and not jiggling.
but.. I'll make a loincloth version since people misread into it. sigh..
what a way to finally meet you.
Wish I could help, but I always just end up accidently ignoring people because I get distracted and run away. D: Guess there's no solution there. Oops!
I think you just need to thin out your friends list by eating them. Clearly it's the solution to this problem. Are you getting my hint? Are you getting my hint? You're not getting my hint... Draw more vore!
That's true ! But I don't mind. :) It's always a pleasure to just get to chat a bit with you. ;)
As it would be the same for you Morca. ^^
I understand :>
In the end, a partial solution I've found to this and some other issues is to set the IM client to not report idle status and to never use away messages. It doesn't take long for the brighter folks to figure out they can never tell if you are there or busy, etc., so they will not expect immediate full attention.
Cheers sir drake ^.=.^ and I hope you find a solution that helps you be able to stay in contact with quite a few others without that stress on your head
Not really, but... maybe when you've got a bit more time on your hands. Been meaning to talk to you since before FC. :P
Ive really wanted to get to know you for a long time, but been afraid of upsetting you for bothering you.
*Nuzzles gently*
I would totally understand the reason if someone hasn't replied me for hours. After all, we all have things we have to deal with IRL! And eventually you will explain the cause and reason to your friend when you have time, right? :D
I may bother you with a plate of cookies every now and then tho ^_^

Just though you should know it's not just you. Although it cold be those summer classes :P
Good luck with them, I know they can be a drag.
Hé hé well, I understand your point, I sometimes feel the same and just don't log in either because I'm busy.
What would be the solution ? Well, I would say that marking yourself as "busy" normally tells us that you'll reply with long delays. But, I answer that because I would love to talk with you again. :P
So I would say... well, it's only up to you hun. I don't think suggestions from us would help you. I mean, the main thing is that you'll need time, even a little, but also a kind of "desire" to talk with some of us again. We mustn't blame you because of not being really there to talk with us. :)
- So if you're scared to have a mass of people desiring to chat with you as you log in, so get online as invisible and choose the ones you wanna have news from.
- If you're not, just try one time as busy and see if you can manage that. x) Maybe ? :P
I personally felt missing you my friend, as I still feel it a bit. But I understand you and accept it. :)
Take care Morca.
Definition: A case directly resultant of a artists submission of works to a public forum. The users of this forum are inspired and excited about the works, wanting to connect in some way with the artist in question, mostly relating to the works they've submitted. The problem with this is two fold, 1) The works are often times only a very small portion of the artist and what they are about, and often times are not even truthful as to who they are as the work might have been a commission and therefore only their representation of another's idea. 2) because of the ability for thousands of people to view and be influenced by their submitted works, the artist receives a unreasonable amount of interaction from the forum. While all genuine, it simply becomes a matter of time availability, there isn't enough of it.
And boredom...I am envious of people who actually have the time to be bored.
