not much of no'thing, here we have lakes (ones you reeally dont swim in however!!!), and same with the rivers (no creeks, really)

as for what /else/ i'll do on a hot summer day? swelter normally? most people just sit in front of a window-mounted ac :) (umm... for anybody not already familiar with the South... i'm not speaking figuratively.)

It passed 100 degrees in Washington D.C. yesterday, and Republicans in the House of Representatives promptly signed a pledge vowing to vote against any increases in the temp above 96 degrees. XD

epic. i'd believe it too! that's the sad part! too many them politicians, Left or Right don't matter, just simply think they can vote reality into place and make the whole of the world sunshine and daisies.

then again- what they vote in usually is simply placebo to the exact effect... "hey! i have an idea, lets make it /LOOK/ good, and nothing else matter past that!"

LOL... oh, no babe... you misunderstand- i want speaking about the index. that was the actual temp. /then/ add the humanity factor of the bayous'/the Gulf in this area.

our index's are 100+ when it's about 85-90*F here :'(

LOL, that's similar to here for me- a regular is 100+ and that's not a resent thing- been running a number of years back for us. not sure if i got this right, but one time a couple years back, we had hit a high of 110+ or something?

*shrigs* i'm cajun, and how i was raised didnt help for learning to live "cool" >..> i'm just too absorbed into heat to care or notice the high temps turns out i can steam a bathroom better then a chicago native during the winter- and i do it in summer >:) (oooh boy! you should see /me/ in the winter!! bundled up like an Eskimo, and seeking heat like a missile!)
