What I've been up to (I'm not dead!)
So yeah XD Second semester of school kicked in and I've litteraly had NO time at all to myself. Tonight is my first official night out of my apartment where I lived for two years. In the past month I'veee....
Packed my apartment
Moved a bunch of boxes
learned oil painting
done a million multimedia projects
done some freelance work
applied for a zillion jobs
apartment/home hunting in Atlanta
This last Wednesday I went to a job interview in Atlanta for a marketing media job. It went really well I think, and they began calling my references that afternoon. So hopefully I'll get that!
I also found a condo to share with
caustickeet and went ahead and put a down payment on it today. its in Decatur, GA, which is a few minutes away from the city center, but quiet enough to be comfortable. We really wanted to live in Inman Park or Candler Park but its just out of our price range right now. :<
So now I have a few more days of class, and then I get my degree and I take off to start my carreer! Once a steady paycheck starts coming in and I get settled, Things will be alot easier for me and I'll be able to devote more time to digital artings. :3
But on that note, in case anyone's interested, here are some of the things I've been making in classes:
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-.....2018.05.02.jpg This is a leftover from watercolor class..an egg tempra painting of Jack the Jackal :3
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-.....2015.11.07.jpg Another from Watercolor...a sailboat sail.
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-.....2011.04.30.jpg My first oil painting! Black and white still life study on paper.
https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-.....2011.28.39.jpg Second still life study, this time with neuturals (Sienna, Umber, Ultramarine, White)
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-.....2011.15.39.jpg White and grey underpainting of my first real painting. I colored it with glazes...
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-.....2010.36.48.jpg Here it is glazed and finished.
https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-.....2008.15.16.jpg And, my most recent paitning finished... a still life with full color. We didnt start with an underpainting, I just blocked in color and added detail.
Right now I'm working on a wet into wet still life, and I'll be revisiting one of my old paintings with oils. Those of you who checked out my other art account might remember a painting of a green boa snake that slowly changed into leaves further down on its body. It was inspired from a dream I had years ago. I want to try it with oils so hopefully it turns out well.
Anyway, so that's all! Wish me luck with the interview/job, and I'll be back around once I'm moved and settled in Hotlanta.
