Thanks. Interesting way to wake up in this morning. His parrents also confirmed this morning that his mother did indeed have a baby when Kei was very young and they had never told him because they didnt think he would have been able to emotionaly handle it when he was younger.

So everything Kei knew about his family and past has kinda gone up in the air.

That's really pathetic and sad on the mother's behalf. I mean jesus christ she's an adult, and this is family. I know my stepmother's mom adopted out 13 kids before keeping 2 (her and her retarded brother). They've found 5 of them, and are still looking for the other 8 always. And as an adoptor (I gave my son up for adoption) I couldn't imagine not telling a child that they had more siblings if that where the case. It just doesn't make logical sense to me. It honestly makes my fucked up family seem not so fucked up.

Well Kei has had some serious emotional problems concerning his mother, especially when he was young (Ill tell you how he actualy ended up in the system in IM's if you want, dont think it needs to be public knowledge.) His adoptive parents didnt think that telling him about the possibility of a sibling at the time was the best thing for his emotional state. At the time she was spouting all these different stories about Kei's birth father, and her life, ect. And she kept coming to see him, and upsetting him more... it was a hectic time. They say that they told Kei when he was a little older that he might have a sibling, but that woman was so emotionally scarring Kei suppressed alot of things that concerned the woman. He doesn't even remember her face anymore.

Regardless weve gotten a hold of the mission that is hosting his funeral and they say that they have some personal effects to give to kei. Like a picture, his care card, a few small personal belongings, ect. The worker at the mission also said that his father often mentioned having two daughters that lived on the coast, so he may potentially have two half sisters as well. Were getting a hold of the coroner and hospital to try and get any relevant medical records that would be important for Kei's own health... uhg.. this is just getting so crazy. As Kei said "My life is suddenly a soap opera'

We should be good, but the offer is greatly appriciated. The mission gave him contact information for his fathers sister. Kei just got off the phone with her. Apparently his father had seven sisters and a brother. Of which five sisters are all still alive. His father was 44 when he met Kei's mom, so his aunts range in age from 60-80. But the one he got a hold of is exstatic. She told him that he has at least one full blood brother and two half sisters that she knows about. Apparently she hasnt heard from Kei's mom since his apparent younger brother was born, so she has no information, but Kei's going to start hunting. She's already contacting his other aunts and going to try and arrange a meet-together for some time next week or so.

As Kei put it "I may not have been able to know my father, but Im going to look at this as a cloud with a silver lining, because now I get to know the rest of my family."

That's really awesome! Family's important.

That's alot to drop on someone's shoulders in a small space of days. My condolences. That's so much information withheld for so long..

Please give Keichi my condolences. I'd hoped whoever it was wouldn't mess him up too badly, since they'd never met, but knowing Keichi... not much of a surprise. Poor guy.

I wish I could help with transportation costs. And if wishes were horses, beggars would ride. But at least I want you to know I'm thinking of you.

Only read this now, sorry to hear about all this. I can understand keichi being as he is, when something like this is just dropped out of no where.
