Got my car back today!
And then it died.
3 miles from home.
Yep.
That sums up my day.
I called the shop, and they give me the "we can't tell you what's wrong unless you come in and get diagnostics"
(of which i just had halfway done three days ago)
i don't have the money.
this is ridiculous.
this car will not be fixed.
the guy said it's possibly the fuel pump.
welp, isn't that great.
that would cost more than the CAR to get fixed.
i don't know what to do.
i got it back- it ran fine for about an hour,
then it started losing power- i was at a red light and it just died.
i could restart it at all.
we had to push it across the intersection and now it's sitting in the parking lot at the video store.

OP
we're wary to buy another part if it could be something else entirely. and from what the guy said- our gas tank has to be taken out and everything to replace a fuel pump. it will end up costing hundreds more in labor :(

wheeel perhaps in the long run getting a new car from craigslist or something would be more cost effective is your current one is a money hog
