I wonder if I could help...? I'm a computer repair person and I have a few systems that I can get rid of easily. Unfortunately, they're all oldish desktops, but I *might* (tiny chance) have a laptop in a few weeks.

Note me what you had (hardware and software), and I'll see what I can dig up. Only issue might be if you are dependent on Windows (most of my systems have Linux, and I don't have a spare WinXP disk right now -- let alone Vista or Win7).

Aargh, can't believe I can't edit my own posts! Meant to also add that I'm in NC, USA. I can ship you a system anywhere in the States (I'll ask you to pay the shipping).
