On fetishes..

THIS IS VERY TL;DR
We've all seen them floating about. You're hanging on Furaffinity when you come across a fetish picture. Your reaction will be one of three:
1. Oooh, that's sexy I like it.
2. What is that?
3. DEAR BURGER FLIPPEN JESUS WTF WHY IS THAT A THING.
And depending on what it is, you either keep looking or violently push yourself away from the computer. I mean, we've all done it. Even if you claim to be tolerant of things, at least ONCE in your time here I'm sure that you've seen something and wondered how someone could possibly be attracted to that. I know I have.
And some people get touchy when you say you don't like their fetishes. They take it like some sort of insult to their fetish-fandom and all you get is a kick in the e-face. Then come the flames, the "OMG UR A SICK PERV" fights and that shebang.
But, you know what I think?
I think it's /good/ that fetishes are weird. Because that's what makes fetishes special!
It's good that only certain people like them. It's good that it's in a distinct little circle of users that "get" the fetish and knock their socks off to it. If they were just plain old ordinary things, they wouldn't feel as special to you or your friends. Every heart is different, as is what makes your heart fall.
There are fetishes that I have that I am willing to share. There are fetishes I have that I am not willing to share. We've all felt ashamed of what we like at one point or another, but that's alright. Just If it's weird or disgusting to others, you get the satisfaction of knowing that other people will never understand, and there for the 'rise' is all to your little self.
I'm not saying that I've never been grossed out by a fetish. I'm not saying that you should all love eachother's fetishes and not be grossed out, either.
I'm just saying that we all have different likes....so what ever floats your boat, whether it be inflation, vore, gore, BDSM, anything in those works...it's your own, and it's special. Other people don't like them? Cool. More for yourself.

Mostly, though, my reaction tends to be more along the lines of #2. *tilts head sideways, looks confused*
I don't really have any interesting fetishes, maybe that's why I now find other peoples' so fascinating and entertaining sometimes. X 0-D (Used to be a lot more squicked out.) Though only the first few times I think maybe. Then it starts seeming more boring/mainstream??? LOL. *random speculations*
One of the things that honestly seems fairly unique to the human species is the imagination and obsession we bring to sex. I think it's kinda funny how wound up people get about it.
