Lift Hard.
just got back from watching Rise of the Planet of the Apes
there isnt much to spoil in the movie that the trailers haven't already revealed.. seriously.. if you watched all the available trailers for the movie the entire story is practically laid out in front of you...
that aside... i didnt really go in expecting anything as far as story goes... and despite knowing what happens i actually enjoyed the pacing and how it all got laid out... the CG apes aren't always 100% believable but they command the screen... andy serkis who motion caps Caesar is always a treat with his visual acting, and theres even a shoutout to his most famous role in the movie too which i chuckled at in the theatre...
all in all.. it isnt ground breaking by any stretch of the imagination and it doesnt have any twists or surprise but it was a decently told movie
from a purely B-movie perspective it was a great "monster flick"
I guess I can give it a chance to impress.
If I do go see it, it'll probably just be for kicks if I have nothing really planned for the evening.
