For RIT, its expensive. I've been told many times over that it's worth every penny but it's expensive. I wouldn't be worrying about tuition however if it weren't for a certain rich uncle.
My Uncle OWNS an accounting firm and lives in a mansion. He fits about everything there is when people think of a rich class man. He has always been kind to everyone in his family tree except my mother who is his only sister. My parents cannot co-sign because my dad is a failure of life and between him and my mom they had a bankruptcy a few years ago. For co-signing loans my uncle is my only real option who could even take the blow if (I died or something) and mainly consider it pocket change.
I called him on the phone and the only reason he stated as to why he would not cosign is because he is holding a grudge on my mother. None of which has to do with me, he doesn't doubt my potential but he believes that if my mom had done a few things differently we would not have to ask him for money anyways.
WHATEVER! So now I have to spend ALL of my 4.5k savings on the first year of tuition and Still need 1.5k to finish the year! This means I have to somehow get an on-campus job (which is extremely hard to get as a freshman) or gain money on my own. That being Art Commissions and putting more promotion into my mobile DJ Business. So yeah, its hard and I'm stressed now because of all this. This is also why I am open for commissions now and why the prices went up a bit more. I can do art commissions and make them my top priority to make a commissioner happy. I can't say I can finish an artwork in a day because my natural pace is slower than that.
I'm not really asking for charity but I'm trying to get help and answers. I don't really know what ways I can advertise my DJ Business but if you guys know that would be nice to comment ^^: I'm also not a believer in luck because luck will not save me here and that is that...
$10 - Simple Digital Sketch +$6 per additional character
$15 - Colored Sketch +7 per additional character
$25 - Flat Digital Color with Line Art +$11 per additional character
$35 - Full Digital Color +$12 per additional character... EXAMPLE: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6320598
??? Backgrounds... price will have to depend on detail/complexity but they can be added to any of the above commission types.
If you have something that is very complex like medieval armor or insane weapons I might charge a little more

Icon - $8 comes as a full color head shot
Ref Sheets - $37 It can be 2 or 3 rotations, you can ask for any detail shots that you would like to have little zoomed in shots like tattoo or jewlery etc.. It will be Flat color for the sake of the artists' community and keeping your future commissions consistent instead of different shades

Human and Furry art are acceptable! Anything else I will try my best but these are my better points
You can request a progress shot at any time! Feel free to do so. However after I've started into the line art phase I won't be changing anything with the characters. Maybe the background since I wouldn't have really started that till later.
If you have any questions I can certainly answer them on this journal, At the moment I do not use a slot or reservation system so you can claim whenever and how much you like. As time goes on I will most likely change this so might as well jump on it now eh~? ;3

And if not much will be applicable, while you can take a few basic classes at MCC just to stay sharp, there's nothing that says you can't take a year's break to save up some money before plunging in to college. In hindsight, I wish I had done that. But I stubbornly clung to the notion that I needed to do my four years right out of high school or everything would be ruined, which is simply not true at all.

I got a job this summer with a ground handling company at the airport. *shrug* If you're desperate for money, Swissport is usually hiring, it seems. Ramping isn't very pleasant, but it's fairly easy. *shrug*
