For those who are unaware of what is happening, for the past three days there have been riots throughout London, Liverpool, Bristol and Birmingham causing massive amount of damage, looting and threatening lives of the local people. The cause of the riots are unclear but some believe it is after Mark Duggan was shot by police as he resisted arrest after an exchange of gun fire. Still, this is no excuse of going out and causing so much damage in these riots which consist of criminal thugs than people with a cause.

My thoughts go out to the family of Mark as I believe they are horrified with the results. Rumours are now flying abound and there are some people who think my city of Southampton maybe hit tonight or Friday. I am going to leave them as rumours at the moment. I am less anxious and more annoyed by these stupid people. To all my friends in the UK and to my wonderful boyfriend I wish you all well and my thanks go to the police who are handling the situation with professionalism.
