If you look around, there's been all kinds of riots elsewhere as well.
Syrian, Egypt... if I remember correctly there was one (or is about to be one) in Cuba as well.
There are an awful lot of social orders drying up and crumbling.

Compared to previous years, this year does seem rather... harsher worldwide than in the past. D:
