Nimin Progress Update

Well, Fenoxo told me that people have been asking him about Nimin's progress and I'm getting more of those "are you dead?" comments again (edit: plus being nagged to do so by Arly :P (edit2: which she's thoroughly reminding me now :P)). So, I'll do something different and... *gasp!* give everybody an update on the progress towards the next release. Don't expect this to become commonplace, I just need to scrounge for motivation :P
So, as you all know, I was without a laptop for a month, so that was pretty much a month of no progress (since I code on my laptop). Since I've gotten my laptop, I've spent some time getting used to it, but I've had some good progress with coding.
I've done a few events, some items, some changes to the engine (one took me hoooouurs to get right...), but it's looking good. I'm currently in the middle of Sumigaki's event, which will probably be relatively big. After that I'm going to need to do at least 3-4 more events on top of that, mostly small-ish, before the next release. Jamie is going to be left for another future release, because with the whole laptop thing I've had other things to work on instead. Though I'm sure people won't mind. Between job-searching and general bleh, it'll still be a bit before the next release, though I'm not stating when specifically, because I have no idea (things always come up anyways).
As for the prostitution editors, we have a new editor! Welcome
omegaokami to the group ^^ Also
clydedale will be sticking around still as well, but at a reduced capacity due to life-issues. But, between the two of them and
torakazu there should be plenty of editing to be had ^^ So far about 1/4 of the pre-existing scenes have been edited, with a few more submitted for the next release (sorry to the owners of those scenes for not having responded to them yet, I'm waiting until the editors catch up before I look at new scenes).
So... yeah, hopefully that's good enough for you vultures :P
P.S. Less than 500 pageviews needed here: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/chichi/

To the editors and you, thumbs up, and don't give up.
As long as you are not dead, and still working some on this I'm fine with waiting.
Also, I don't know if you've seen the Pornarium game (I found it off a link from Fenoxo's page). But they also have a downloadable flash-based Event Creator ( http://pornarium.blogspot.com/p/downloads.html ) which uses a couple of drop-down menus and something that looks vaguely like BBCode to allow the fans to create and text their own event scripts, complete with checks of various character stat variables, and transformation events, and so on.
The Event Creator allows someone to write a standalone event complete with code, and test it themselves, then send it to the authors of the game. According to the information there, the Event Creator has its limits (in fact, there's a whole separately downloadable pdf tutorial about how to use the Event Creator), and obviously, the text around the code would need to be reviewed/edited, and then the whole concept accepted, rejected, and/or tweaked. Then, (assuming if the code generated is valid), it'd be as simple as a copy and paste to include in the next update
I don't know if Xadera would be interested in doing the extra work to build something like that, (to say nothing of the work behind the scenes to the game engine to allow drop-in events like that to work at all), BUT I thought it was a really interesting idea. It (a) allows all the fans to provide some (already coded) ideas to add more flavor to random areas of the game, (b) it (potentially) helps reduce the work load of the people working on the actual game, and © keeps the fans entertained in between updates. Seems pretty close a win-win-win situation.
If Xadera or whomever were to build a tool like that, for a flash game, then presumably that tool would be in flash. I wasn't suggesting to use their tool as is or to make an exact copy, just pointing it out as an interesting example of what could be done, if someone wanted to.
Just something about how much control you have over her body (with the use of items, of course) makes me forget all about pawing and just go crazy, spending hours making several characters and testing every possible scenario my twisted mind could come up with.... *shivers* Love it...
j/k, though I had been looking forward to seeing where his event goes, assuming it was going to be like Lila for update frequency. Oh well, I'm sure the new events will be at least as enjoyable, given the quality of the rest of the game.
If so, then I can be pretty creative.
