Megaplex 2011 was Awesome

Megaplex Memories
Thanks to the support of my watchers and friends, and the grace of God, I managed to make my Megaplex budget within days of my scheduled departure. Due to my decline in health over the last few years, I desperately needed this vacation to boost morale and recuperate. Thank you all so much!
Staying with my Aunt Sherry for 2 weeks (other than the 3 nights we split a room at Megaplex), I was comfy for the 2-week duration of the trip. The convention started the way it always starts, with misleading boredom. The usual empty convention rooms and few attendees or fursuiters always make for a dull start for the first few hours of opening day. By the afternoon however, there are geeks like me everywhere selling art, playing video games, and giving fursuit hugs to everyone. :D
By the end of the first day I had reunited with old friends and made all sorts of new ones. I also got to meet friends and artists I know from online in person for the first time. Everyone was as sweet as I would have imagined.
Day 2 of Megaplex went much the same as the first, but with a 200% increase in attendance and awesomeness! :D
I hosted a game of IronClaw (furry RPG) which seemed to be enjoyed by all for the 4-5 hours we played. It was a re-run of my first scenario, making this the 3rd time I’ve used it. That ended the 2nd day.
The 3rd day saw more art trades, friendly chats, fursuiting, photos, and gaming. The best part was at the end of the night. My favorite part of every con… The Furpile. There’s something special about siting in on the floor with a dozen other fursuiters chatting about everything and anything that’s just like Christmas to me. That ended the last perfectly awesome day of the convention. I got everything I wanted, did everything I wanted to do, and hope that every Megaplex can be just as awesome as this.
Disney Dreams
After the convention, My Aunt and I got to spend a rather Hot and Sunny day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Being a life-long Disney Parks nerd, I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the newly renovated version of One Man’s Dream, riding Toy Story Midway Mania for the first time, and trying out the epic new 3D Star Tours prequel.
I did Star Tours quite a few times, hoping to catch a glimpse of all the different random scenes. I saw Both openings, 2/3 starting planets, 2/3 distress calls, and 2/3 ending planets. I still need to visit Kashyyyk, Coruscant, and receive Yoda’s message. Maybe next time… or on YouTube. :D
After watching the shows and riding the rides we’d wanted to, we left the park several hours before it closed due to the heat.
About a week after that we went back with my friend Jason from Deltona. This time we hit the Magic Kingdom by storm... and so did the rain clouds. Though it poured on and off the entire day, ponchos and umbrellas kept us mostly dry for the entire day. We managed to hit all the attractions accept for the outdoor-carrousel-type attractions which arren’t much more than Disney-themed carnival rides anyway. Splash Mountain was also missed due to what Cast Members called a water pump break down, draining the ride and shutting it down for the day. We did get to see Belle, Ariel, and Cinderella at the request of my friend, Pooh at the request of my Aunt, and Chip/Dale and Stitch because I love them so much. :D
I got my picture taken with Chip and Dale, and when My Aunt approached us for a group shot Chip gave her a hug. I protested with “Hey, I didn’t get a hug.”… after the picture, Chip turned around and Gave me a tight hug and rocked me back and forth lovingly and Dale did too after him. I love those guys (I was sure to tell them just that.). Stitch was even more affectionate. I told him he was my favorite and received a warm hug and skritchies. After photos, I told him “I’d love to take you home with me but I can’t”. He loved that, grabbing my side and squeezing me.
Disney World is still Magical. :D
Swag
Budgeting my food and earning cash at the con allowed me some spending money, which I stretched it over a wide area. I got stuff at Disney, the Con, and local nerdy toy stores. I’ll provide a photo of my awesome catch soon. ;)
Thanks again so much for providing this chance for me to make memories and friends. I feel so much better, and hope I can do the same again next year.

My face is already manufacturing that peculiar ooze. No pain yet though, and I intend to keep it that way!
I'm still trying everything I come across.
