Going back for Christmas...

I think moving to the city has spoiled me... everytime I go to visit my family in Athabasca, which is on the very edge of frigid, frozen, northland nowhere... like, the last line of civilization in Alberta (No, Fort MacMurray doesn't count...) I find myself really missing everything that gets left behind.
Like transit... Starbucks... stores that stay open after six... more than one restaurant... movie stores that actually stock new releases... sidewalks that shoveled clear of snow on a regular basis... 24 hour convenience stores that are right around the corner, not a twenty minute walk away, up and down hills in both direction...
Seriously, I used to live my life just fine without all these things, then I spend about a year in the city and suddenly I can't live without them, even for a week...
Hmmm, I guess I should add my boyfriend to that list... :P
