Really? This shit is getting old and despite not being any of my business it pisses me the fuck off. Few minutes after this journal it came to my attention some prepubescent kid was stealing

art and from what he told me is not the first time he has ran into this prick.

Again normally I wouldn't care for this (even more so if it involves anyone I've made enemies with here) but when it's related to someone who I know, a friend or someone I kinda know and enjoy his art it's just annoying and Im sure some of you feel the same way. Even more so if it's YOUR friends work being stolen.

This is like the 4th case I've seen of art theft from FA in the past few weeks. I swear DA is nothing but a "headquarters" for art thieves these days and I think it should just get shut down, PERMANENTLY. I rarely go to the place anyhow and despite FA having a history of troll-problems at least they are more tolerable and easy to get rid off (I think?) than thieving little brats.

On a side note... our cats made a full recovery from their operations. Missu (girl) looked rather miserable the first few days and did nothing but sleep and eat but now both of them are up and running a mock the house as usual.

One of my friends recently had the same problem with an art thief. Stupid thing about DA is they dont do much of anything unless you have 500 people report the individual or if you pay the fees for that site. Even if you have proof of the art being yours with links and everything dated to way before the thiefs posts they still wont do anything about it. It gets tiring and stupid.

I think that's not true. I've seen art thieves art taken down after being reported but not fast enough. They should also ban them but that never happens as often as I want/suggest it to.

Probably in the distant future when people can be accurately tracked by satellite. In the meantime, reports are all we can manage.

I still think the satellite and vaporization thing sounds like something THEY (the art thieves) would think of since... well, I think the majority of them are little kids who dont know any better.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Brats, forever ruining the Internet and not learning to stay off of dedicated websites until they're at least 16 and know any better.

I think its easily handled on FA more is because there are way more people on dA than this site, so there are less people to try to help on here. But yeah, I know how it feels and it sucks. I do know dA tries their very best to help out users as fast as they can compared to FA. They might as well stick to FA since its not as big of a site.

Nope, but its my opinion. Sorry. I have way too many great friends on that site for me to just want to give it up over some art thefts. You find douchebags everywhere and the more popular websites are, they more you are likely to find them. But dA has helped me in too many ways for me to just say "fuck it." Way more than not helped actually, but you don't have to agree, this is my opinion. Hate it all you want.

I dont hate your opinion one bit. I understand and respect it. I wont miss DA if it gets shutdown or anything because what I used to do there I do it here now plus a lot of people who are in DA are also here.

I dont plan to leave DA despite all this. I do however am thinking of deleting my gallery or anything that art thieves might be interested in since I have all that here now.

You could just put your art in storage just in case you don't wanna delete the stuff for good and just unstore them if you change your mind.

Be on your profile page and go to submit and from there you should see a drop down menu and on bottom you should see manage deviations on top of manage prints. Click on manage deviations. You should be able to know what to do from there. If you have any trouble with it, you are free to ask.

I'd really hate it if DA were shut down because that's where I made my start with all this art business, and where I started making all these wonderful friends. It's a shame when websites get infected by the plague known as art thieves, but unfortunately they're just as typical of Internet stupidity as trolls are.
