Kyanite (And What I'm Working On)

Saturday my mom and I went up to Yancey County just north of the South Toe River on State Road 80 and dug (and chiseled) around for kyanite with a group from the Catawba Valley Gem and Mineral Club. We found a pretty impressive vein of it and after walking up and down the side of the mountain a few times brought home a few dozen pounds of the stuff. It was unimaginably hard work! XD But I got some good specimens, all hard-to-find blue kyanite blades.
So, what I hope to upload when I get access to a scanner is this, so far:
- a second picture of Vivian
- a birthday drawing for
- a birthday drawing for
- two or three "fliers" for the AAAAA
- photos of my kyanite
If I get it finished I might possibly have a ref sheet for Beatrix too! nωn So wish me luck, and for the soreness in my fingers and arms to go away quick so I can resume drawing. XP

And the digging/chisling for kyanite sounds fun. I know I did something like that when I was up in.. I forget where now. I think it was New Hampshire. Found alot of shale, the really papery rock, and some shiny stones.

btw.. turns out, Love, that Rose Quartz happens to be my 'personality'-stone... i giggled until it hurt once i realized what it stands for! LOL *is too big of a Quartz fan* >..> donest help my.. beliefs? background, and also the fact that i'ma bit of a techygal... (quartz timing crystals!!! YAY!)
hehe, but yes i cant wait!! and you never called me to "wag mah ear off" about this trip *pffffts*
