It's based of the novels of Tad Williams : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Otherland.
Has some similarities with the .hack franchise anime series.
For me, it's kinda like Second Life + A really good storyline + the standard MMORPG combat and stuff.

It reminds me of hack series. A virtual world that becomes really popular but then some computer virus or hacker ruins it and tries to take over the world. I bet it would make a great movie.

it did look like it which is disappointing. but t also says somewhere that its an action MMO so Im a tad confused.

I pray its not another auto combat MMO. Im getting tired of these games trying to be WoW or EQ, they suck.

Looks like a cross between World of Warcraft and Second Life, with little bits of Tron, Unreal Tournament and Assassins Creed mixed into it as far as I can see.
