So what CAN the little one play? (Help please?)

Everything revolves in its own time, regardless of your own desires.
Errrr, I'm having some weird dillema here.
There's a time where eventually I have to let my little brother play the Playstation 3, buuut i have a archive of old cruddy games for him.
Sonic Heroes is rediculously complex
He has NO patience with Okami
Fighting games are fun, until he dies 20 times by just mashing the light punch button until the opponent kills him from afar, making him sob after the 7th loss.
Bayonetta and Mortal Kombat? ...yeah, no.
So I need some help. I'm think of getting some like the old Spyro and Crash Bandicoot games, sorry that sounds steriotypical cause I grew up of those games, but I can't figure out a good balance for him. I mean collecting gems and burning foes? Why not? :3
He's like 7 but he's mature like a 4-year old.
So what you guys suggest?

PS3 is outside my active knowledgebase, buuut, maybe look around at their downloadable games? Indie games seem to have a large selection these days of simple, easy-to-play, but fun-for-anyone games. :> All I can think of otherwise are older games like Spyro, Jak and Daxter, Sly Cooper...but then again those games can be pretty tough cookies to play, too! XD I kinda think one has to have some maturity to play games...you have to be able to be happy about losing.
.....even adults rarely have that, sadly enough.
Thanks for the idea though ^^
Lazy doggy is lazy.
