Someone I Watch on here is going to open for a special sort of commission soon. I'm going to commission them for one slot, for someone else.
But I also want to get one too... it's just... I also don't know if I want it up on FA for all to see, or even if I'm not going to feel horrendously embarrassed by it.
It's nothing to do with the artist. They're fantastic at what they do, and as far as I've seen liked. The subject matter itself though is one that I've had a mixed past with and getting this specific commission will be a big jump for my finally being okay with it. It's not as if it's a secret I like this stuff either, it's all over my Favourites. x.x;
Anyone got any suggestions for what I should do to make myself feel easier with getting this second commission for myself? :/ I could use another POV here.

You can always ask if it can be kept private before you make the commission.
Most artists understand that furs sometimes want things kept quiet, like when the commission isWorst that can happen is the artist says no going to be a birthday gift.
Worst that can happen is they say no and you just file the idea away for the next time.
