5000x5000 resolution, with pixel resolution at 300 or so. This is just if you like to make many sketches or retain great quality lines, its not needed, but being at the highest spec does take a toll on a computer if you don't have enough RAM. This is what I currently use, but I am no where near experienced as some artist here.
Personal stuff:

Brush - Size 12- Quality 4(smoothest)

Pen- Size 12

You may not know this, but if your harddrive, if something happend and cant boot. you can still take EVERYTHING off of it with a different computer. Or use resteration from a pc fixit-company.

ALSO if you are using sai, if its too big it wont even try. ALWAYS sketch with pencil. AND LINEART WITH VECTOR!!

Most people dont know this, but when you are on sai, you can actually EDIT your lines. But only on vector. you cant use pencil or brushes. gota do the vector layer.
