How Music Moves Me

Isn't it amazing how some songs have the power to move your soul? Let me share a song with you:

Now, I want you to just listen to this song. Don't watch the video, but just have it playing in the background. I just heard this song at random on my Pandora station and found it incredibly moving
I work in theatre for a living, and always am amazed when a show has just the perfect music to go with the production. In fact, there are two songs in particular that I hear that just make tears come to the surface because I have connected them with a play in one way or another.
The first is "Just My Imagination" by the Temptations. A while back I got to work on the premier of Brokeology, a wonderful play about a family and their struggles with change. The song reminds me of the main character's loss of his wife, and how he and his family move forward. But it isn't that knowledge that moves me emotionally, it is a deep emotional connection I have made with the music.
But this song is nothing compared to how quickly I am brought to tears by this song:

Its so simple. One cello. But at a very difficult time in my life, this song, and the play that this song was used in, helped me move forward. The play is called W;t, and it is about a woman and her struggles with cancer. At the time I worked on this production, my mom was passing after many years of battling cancer herself. I have such a strong emotional tie that even thinking about the music make me weep. But the song isn't sad to me, it is hopeful. It reminds me there is more to life than just being alive, and that we are not just measured by what we do, but who we impact. And I know this is true because my mom still impacts me today, almost 8 years after her passing.
So do you have any music that moves you? I would love to hear the song and your story behind it.

If you would have met me before a few years ago, I was shy, soft spoken, insecure and unsure of myself. I had hardships that forced me to grow up early and to rely on myself. Those hardships even thou had shattered me those years ago gave me the boost I needed to become more confident, more reliant on myself than anyone else. I'm sure without those hardships I probably wouldn't be here today which is something that I am reminded about when I hear from other people who haven't yet learned what they needed to learn on their own yet. Learning their own self worth.
My own sisters all 4 of them, they still have to learn that they are worth more than the worth that they put on themselves. I always think of myself before and them when I hear this song. How they shroud themselves into believing they have no self worth or significance. How they lower themselves and belittle themselves no matter what I say to them. Because at the end of the day, no one can change you only yourself and until they can figure that out all I can do is stand to the side, listen to them, tell them that they are worth more than they are giving themselves credit for and hope they gain what I've gained in my short lifetime so far.
Im sure there are alot of songs out there that I can reference for that, but truthfully this is my current favorite that I keep shoving my sisters to listen to so they can get a clue :p

I'm pretty all over the doujin/anime material that gets pumped out of Japan constantly so if its got some sort of 'anime/game'ish influence to the sound, then I'm sorry if it can't be listened to so seriously. But I have a song that makes me get goosebumps over and over anytime I hear it. Not sure if you'll agree.

Not as dramatic, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cql-jdAIhuI I picked up this CD on a whim because I saw it at the store, it had a colorful cover, and I liked his first album I had. The first time I heard it, it became my absolute favorite song. This song always sends a torrent of [positive] emotions up and down my body. Everyone I show the song to says it's too creepy. I guess I was destined to love it since I emit vast amounts of creep vibes. I listen to this song and think about all the wonderful people in my life :3
I guess I'll stop there. Sorry for the lack of Linkin Park and AFI
PS: This song gives me the jollies http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6VYG57yFSIk I don't know why
