Funny you mention this -- Friends in NC are getting hit (I used to live there), and they are gawking at Irene and calling it weak, though it -is- causing damage. While I still wish the best for them in the hurricane, I can't say I feel worried -- Its just another hurricane to them (and me!)

Meh. I'm not afraid. But that's because I'm not really afraid of much beyond black holes and nuclear war. I'll be ok if I'm ok. And I wont if I'm not. At least I got a day out of work for it.

i used to live in florida. i used to think hurricanes were fun. on higher ground than that around us, we were in lesser danger from flood and the like, and with few trees directly around the house, less to fall on us.

still, one year we did ahve to board up the house and move into a hotel for a month while it wa sput back together. but that was when i was just THAAAAT big, so i odnt remember it much :3
