I've been going since it began, in 2007. The first year was great, and I've enjoyed it a lot.

However, since 2008 onward, I've encountered problems circulating me and a few friends, and got dragged into drama that I really didn't want to get involved in. That sort of thing ruins the experience for me, and I turn into a bit of a foul mood for quite a while; and believe me, when I'm mad, you'll know when I am. I'm giving the convention another chance, though. It's fairly smallish, good to get away from the major conventions such as FC, AC, and EF.

The staff is fair, and they have lots of things organised, especially around registration; most of the staff comes from Canada, mainly the province of British Columbia (where I also am from), but there are a few whom are from Seattle, and even a couple whom aren't.

I've a few beefs with the staff, but I'll save that for another day. All I can suggest is simply enjoy yourself, and hope I'll see you there. :)

I hope so too. The Hilton is really nice, and we're still close to 7-Eleven, which is just across the street.

I've never had any problems. Atmosphere is pretty lax. They're doing it at a different hotel than the did the previous two years that I attended, so I can't really comment on location. I've not interacted with staff all that much. It didn't seem TOO crowded, except for ... whatever they call that area with all the tables where artists are selling stuff, I just woke up.

Overall pretty positive opinion.

YAY! :) My main complaint about Further Confusion in Cali was the size.. it just got so ginormous it wasn't fun anymore.. not to mention the ridiculous hotel.. and location.

Well, because of that, we've moved to the San Jose Convention Centre, so hopefully the con experience will be better.

Ah yes... I was actually complaining about the convention center.. it seemed so spread out and nothing was 'convenient' to go to :( I also really didn't like the price of the hotel, sooo outrageous.. not to mention downtown SanJose parking costs.. Just not worth it for me.

I haven't been there myself, so I have no say in it -- but I'm willing to give it a try. The Fairmont seemed too rich for me, plus I miss the Doubletree.

Doubletree was perfect. Loved the layout and the amount of space. I miss it for sure.

It was. Con staff believed we outgrew it, but a few staff members and myself think that's complete nonsense.

On the plus side, we do get to go grocery shopping at Safeway that's just close by; plus the Pita Pit has become my favourite place to grab something to nom on. :3

The con was a moderate size. Over 1000 attendees.
