Another example of furries making a mountain out of a molehill.
Harmless linking code gets added to FA so they can make a little extra revenue.
Some fur finds out about it and goes "OMG you didn't tell us! Our privacy rights have been infringed upon! FOUL!"
This cry gets whipped up by the horde of furry idiots who react out of ignorance and respond with an avalanche of "Neer's wrong!" "This is bullshit!" "Our privacy is invaded!" "We're being screwed over!"
First, let it be known that similar linking code is well implemented among most websites. Hell, Facebook, Twitter and countless other social networking sites utilize much more intensive tracking code than this harmless little addition to FA.
Numerous sites track info that can actually PLACE your location on a MAP! Down to the city, suburb and even post code!
And here people are getting upset over some trivial code that "tracks" an infinitesimal percentage of a percentage of data that has no bearing on you, who you are, where you are, or what you do.
"But Neer should have told us boo hoo boo hoo."
You see Google or Facebook or anyone else TELLING you they've got tracking code implemented? You see your IP TELLING you they've got tracking code implemented?
Grow up, furries.
Code implementation: molehill
Typical butthurt furry response: mountain.

I had a similiar response to this, was thinking the same thing. ._. I clicked opt out, and then went back to life.

OP
FA can track my clicks if they want, it's not costing me anything...at all :) The moment you step into cyberspace your browsing is tracked, and you can't help that. So I'm not concerned about something that doesn't really track you at all.

Install the Firefox addon "NoScript". Problem solved. <3

OP
I moved to Chrome :) But even with Firefox I'm not concerned about this code.

That's fine ... Was just saying, if they're so wound up about this, there are tools to resolve it. =)
