Hmm, everyone seems to go the whole "no, I know he died" or "yes, I thought he was alive" route in answering, but I distinctly remember being completely overjoyed when I saw Simba's reflection looking like Mufasa. The whole "He lives within you" line made sense to me and I knew that even though Mufasa's body died, his memory and his hope could never disappear. He might be gone, but in the end everything will come back and be made unbreakable. Heh, that's probably my religious views colliding with how I view fantasy. It happens a lot.

No,a ctually, it didnt fool me. I'd seen Kimba the White Lion, and The Lion King, aside form some location and character retuning, is a word-for-word rip-off of Kimba, so I wasn't fooled by the big Disney Monkey, and neither were outraged fans of Kimba when Disney claimed they'd never even heard of Kimba (They'd attended a private screening of the film just weeks before beginning work on The Lion king).

No. I was just so sad about the stampede scene that there wasn't any way I could believe he'd still be around, so I was mostly confused by the "he's still alive" part until they got to the lake.

The blu ray version comes out fairly soon, but there's already been a leak of the 3d version out there.. I managed to take a peek out of curiousity since it seems odd to try to turn a 2d flick 3d, but.. I'm surprized by how well it turned out.. part of me wonders if that is how humans in the Roger Rabbit verse saw hand drawn toons interacting in their world on a hands on basis.

Not really, I was like five when I saw this, and even then I knew there Mufasa wasn't coming back. Moreso because Simba tried getting him up but...well, yeah. Still, Hakuna Matata (No Worries).
