Personaly, I think your design is very unique <3 But there is no sence in me argueing with the artist xD

I suggest just looking around at different animals, canines, whatever you like and toying around with designs and other things you can think of that fit who you are and what you like.

Creating the 'perfect' fursona is difficult, as it represents yourself <3 You'll find it hun! *smiles*

Any animals you've been more aware of lately? Whether you think of them more or you dream of them more, or you find yourself seeking out their images/info when you've time to kill?
Another thing is try to envision what the ideal landscape would look like then imagine it with as many of your senses as you can. Imagine the sounds, the smells, the sights.. Then picture yourself in first person approaching a vast glassy lake in that landscape. You look down into it and see...(note: if your fursona is an aquatic creature this may not work out so well.)
