Oh, dear..DISCUSSION Time.

I ran into this video on youtube. It's from the new Deus Ex game that just came out featuring an NPC named Letitia. Now, I'm a pretty low brow guy, hence the onslaught of anthropomorphic and human porn spewed out by myself. But, well...Just watch this vid. Now however you feel about this character's mannerisms, PLEASE, lets all be civil and above all be honest. If it don't understand what the fuss is about, that's perfectly fine. We all are going to see this in different ways that's only natural given the different cultures we all hale from.
Many others on youtube got pretty upset by it. I just wanted to give a bit of a head's up in case others were offended.

Basically the bad voice acting for the black person got me OFFENDED!!!!!
If they were going to voice her like that, they should have at least made the character look the part. She doesn't look all that old, or streetworn to be using things like "I'ze a be" and such.
It wasn't offensive so much as just off target.
...It's not I'm stupid and think an internet meme like "U MAD BRO" can be racist or something...
And I'm not black. So...
Whatev.
And as far as the comments about the status of her clothing - ever think that, maybe they're so far in the future, that it's a new kind of homeless? where here clothing, as they are, in her culture, would be considered 'ratty' even if we, in our culture, consider them gnarly?
