well steam just sorta derped for me. i can log on normally and go to the store, but for some reason i cant see my friends list at all. I anyone having the same problem?

Turn it off then on again. First steam, then your PC, then your modem/router.

If its just the steam client giving you that error in the friends list area, it happens to me occasionaly as well. Doesn't seem to be serious, just have to wait it out, usually anywhere from 20min to an hour.
