Well, thinking about it. The original theme is a bit faster, played in allegro. It's a really nice theme. It represents a happier time. A great smile for everyone. If I'm not mistaken, one of the main characters you play as says, "It's her smile that keeps me going."
It's a refreshing theme. It's not so much that I want it to be seen as peaceful, rather, just happy.
SaGa Frontier II is the only one of the SaGa games I've played, but the only thing I loved more than the game is the music. All of the tracks were in German. And they were written brilliantly by Masashi Hamauzu. I wish he could go back to that style. I feel he lost it a bit when he wrote the soundtrack from FFXIII.
So is it your theme for peacefulness or proper/fancyness? Or just a quiet life? That's what it gives off to me.

There's always V-XIII. I think if there's one composer who cannot fuck up a soundtrack, it would be Yoko Shimomura.
