Enkai and I have looked over all the entries, and it wasn't an easy decision. Everyone who entered did a wonderful job, and that's no lie. I'd like to personally thank all of you who participated, you made this groups first contest a huge success in my opinion! It makes me sad that I can't give more to this group and the contestants. <3s to you all!
Anyways, with that, I have to stop dragging my feet and announce the 3rd, 2nd, and 1st place winners...

Congrats to everyone who entered. The entries were judged on creativity and how you detailed/explained the beginning of the race.
If you didn't place, don't fret, I've decided to put myself out there and offer a discounted fursuit accessory (could be fursuit hands, a tail, or a partial) commission to ANYONE WHO ENTERED THIS CONTEST! The possibility and details of future contests will depend more heavily on YOU, the members of the group. First off, I'd like to try to have people have a little more of a heads up of an upcoming contest, or a longer contest run time. This first contest was sort of a experiment in itself for not only the group but for me as well as I've never hosted one before. (I hope I did a decent job for you guys!)
If future contests have as many entries as this one did I'd like to open up the voting to the group. Or would you rather have the voting be restricted to group leaders/designated personnel? Let us know your thoughts/suggestions!
Now, as for specific future contest details, what do you guys think would be fun to have as a contest?! I already have one idea that I'm still thinking on (but I won't tell because that'd be cheating!) but I was wondering if anyone wanted to share an idea or something!? Also, would you like a certain amount of warning before a contest is started, etc. Any general feedback would be appreciated!
And once more, if you'd like to offer some of your time/talent/money/organs/1st born sons to the group for contest fodder or something we'd love you for it!

I would like to point out that those who didn't place in a spot will be featured in a piece of art with me someday when I get the money around for such. I can't promise that it will super fancy or anything but I'll try.
