Post-MFM Con report

Well, had an awesome time with everybody there.
Arrived thursday evening, riding along with
fennecboy, rested up to be ready for the con on friday.
Met a lot of people on friday. I mean, a LOT of people. met
paddlefoot as I was registering, met a guy by the name of bunniboi and helped him take his arms off (anyone know his FA?, helped a guy named Mr Wolf (I think it was, not sure) up in the lan room for a few min, met
stuntcoyote in the atrium with
fennecboy and another suiter whom I can't remember, and played with a ball for a good hour, met Crimsonred at the Furoticon table and brought him a meal (remember, dragons will always eat the tastiest thing around, so you're safe as long as there''s something that tases better nearby). ran around a lot, had a lot of fun with the fursuiters. finally ended up at the dance, gave some glowsticks to anybody I came across and then danced and danced until I stumbled upon
Rouka and Snowcat almost simulteneously (snow has no FA, I've asked her).
Well, the night passed by, I passed out on my bed, and morning came, bringing me in just in time for the fursuit parade. watched the suiters passing through the dealers room before meeting them out on the lawn for more shenanigans until I met up again with the Snowcat from friday night. at this point, me and her started running about together and became pretty well inseperable. It was saturday that we met
enic and got lots of hugs from him. Saturday was the day of the Furoticon tournament, where I lost spectacularly. Saturday was the day that we went to the japanese restaurant, had a lovely dinner with a couple of random families and maybe, just maybe, brought a new furry into the fandom when one of the other people eating got interested in the artwork and things he saw on the wikipedia entry. Saturday was a glorious day, and I wouldn't have traded it for anything.
and then it was sunday. sunday was such a fun time, but such a sad time as well. Everyone was aware that after sunday, the fun times were over and we all had to go home, but that just made us that much more energetic, so we could all get as much fun as possible out of the weekend. Running about, I got a last minuet commision in for
DMK. I could be seen all over the place confusing snowcat for a backpack, and I got to see all of the friends I made over the weekend and a last chance to make a few more. it was on sunday after the fursuit games, after all, that I threw a rubber duck across the room at
bucktowntiger. Played a wonderful game of Werewolf where I managed to survive the entire game and still lose (hooyah heretic), before saying my goodbyes to snowcat only to find that
fennecboy had one last thing to do at con. watched him running around in Flagstaff's fullsuit, which is owned by
electropaw.
All in all, I had a great time, made a lot of new friends, and I wouldn't have missed it for the world. I hope to see each and every person I met there again in the future, and I look forward to going to MFM again in the future.
Until then, though, all you anime fans in the Virginia area get ready, cause next up is Nekocon, over in Hampton, VA! I may be moving out on my own soon, so I may be able to offer crash space to people I know for Neko, but it's all up in the air right now. Keep an eye out, and I'll get a journal posted about it when I can.
Take care until then everyone!
