Gunnolf has lived in relative solitary away from other animals & humans for over two centuries since the death of his mate who's name has been forgotten by time. He looks the same as he did when his mate died except for the loss of one eye for all the wisdom of the world, which makes him just more solitary because he knows he will never see his mate until his death. He was a very powerful Norse god who was interested in shamanism and has focused on it for the last two centuries while living in solitary, he could now be considered a true shaman to others. He was also an adviser to Odin two centuries ago and went with him when he went on his quest for wisdom in which he gave an eye to the Well of Mimir which 2 years later Gunnolf went back to and did the exact same thing as Odin.

Even though he has focused on shamanism for two centuries, he has been unable to contact the spirit of his dead mate. He has not given up hope that he will be able to see and talk with his mate once again so he continues to study shamanism to this day and even discovered that his mate had a child before her death which he had searched a century for but was never able to find. He has recently decided to reconnect with the world around him but has disguised himself to the world because the day his mate died was supposedly the day he died as well.

His current appearance to the world is that of a 19 year old teenager even though he in fact a Norse god in the form of a wolf with yellow and white fur. Normal humans would never know what he actually looks likes by looking at him but humans in touch with spirituality would although most humans now do not care about spirituality so he is not worried about being discovered by a human. Although, to animals he is a wolf in appearance unless he chooses for them to see him as a human.

He is saddened by the fact that humans have made most wolf packs from two centuries ago non-existent and tries to find a new wolf pack to join into so he has some comfort in the world that he is in now. Every once in awhile, he swears he sees his mate as a human which confuses him that his mate has become a human but quickly realizes that it was just a human illusion messing with his senses and go on his way while never talking to the human. To this date, he has only talked to one human and it did not go well because he did not understand the human who was speaking English so he now spends his time not only trying to communicate with his dead mate & child but learning English and every other current language so he can blend in with the humans.

Gunnolf has recently found a new mate that loves him for himself but is unsure about devoting himself completely to the relationship but still loves his new mate who is also a wolf but is approximately half his current age. He has also recently found out he is now gay but it does not bother him as long as he has someone to love so he is no longer lonely.
