Can't keep quiet

I'm sorry, but all these people that are "We need to celebrate our strength and unity" today are being disrespectful. Ten years ago, at least 3200 people DIED! DIED in a very tragic, horrific, and horrible way. There is nothing to celebrate. My feelings is that the way the Boston luncheon handled the meet being on September 11 was how it should be. Just a quiet moment to reflect on the event among a group of friends. Why do others feel the need to make people who lost love ones in the WTC and elsewhere relive the most horrible moments of their lives again and again, year after year. There is nothing to celebrate. This day is a tragic one, not one to celebrate year after year with speeches and the patriotic BS of politicians. How about instead of giving inspiring speeches about how patriotic they are, they get their asses back to D.C. and get this economy back and track and do the job they were elected to do! I'm sorry, but I just feel it is inappropriate to celebrate a day where thousands died. Let's remember and move on. I mean, non of the Firefighters, Police, and other first responders that were there that day were invited to the ceremony. How is this dedication really for the victims where the friends and relatives of those lost are kept out and away from the memorial? So yeah, September 11 should be a time for quiet reflection how our national values are sometimes paid through the death and blood of citizens. This is not a time for politicians and other important people to give speeches ended in applause and cheering. That is just disrespectful to the victims and friends and family of those who lost their lives that day. Quiet reflection does not involve cheering and applause!
Also, bonus points to
xerxes_wolf telling another user on their journal that they don't deserve to live because they wish to remember September 11 in silent reflection rather then joyous applause after hollow speeches. Yeah, telling someone they are a horrible person and deserve to die because they feel the 9/11 now is celebrating the death of 3200 people. Classy!
