Catnip mouse hanging from the ceiling or other convenient overhang.

Also, dangling moving stuff she can 'stalk' and play with.

And just be there for her as much as possible.

Yarn balls that you tied off in a night, give a large tether of yarn you can hold onto and drag around on the floor should help with the stalking. Plus when you arent around you can tie it onto a door nob for a littl bit of self play. Also something that helps with cats I've noticed is if furniture can stay the same. The disapearance of familar "rest" spots puts a kitty out of wack sometimes. Second of course is sun, if at all possible find a window the sun comes in nice and good and keep the shade open a little bit.

I'm not sure how much that will help but just some things to throw out there. I'm a cat person myself and got concerned when I picked up my new tv. One of my favorite spots for pepper, my cat I've had since she was a ktiten was to rest/be lazy atop my old tv set. I recently picked up a wide screen hd dlp television though so its not 100% safe for her or the tv so.. its been a bit rough scolding her to not do what she was used to doing.

Can you get to walmart? There a little jungle gym, that we got for our cats.. good lord they love it. Laser pointer ;>

But how old is she? Cause if you do manage to get a kitten for her later on it might take a bit for them to get along. Also give her time she just moved hon, make sure the windows that are in the place are safe so she doesn't get hurt.. Cats do odd things and from someone that actually had 17 of them.. *rubs neck* I've kinda of been dealing with the fluff balls for awhile.

I can only second what Frenor said. If you can't afford a second cat (assuming she'd get along with one) yarn does good. Sun is also very important for the cats fur and health, so she should definitely have access to a sunspot.

As a side note, when you're at home, try a laserpointer...my cat goes crazy for it >_>

Lazer pointer, yarn, rolled up newspaper racked along the floor, a feather, or just playing with the little guy. Those work as well having 3 cats helps in learning how to keep them entertained when they don't wanna mess with one another.

Get a 20-40 gallon fish tank and some fish that dart around all the time. She'll never stop looking and trying to get them. :)

I recommend Zebra Danyos, as they're quite "slippery"

most of all give her as much attention as you can when you are home, and as soon as possible get her that friend.

i have two boys that are brothers, i adopted them together, and they love each other, and play and fight. even if you had a nice view in your place i think she still would have gotten bored one way or the other.

Create a place for her to bathe in sunlight. Cats are solar powered. Believe.. To she maybe down.. cause cats hate change.. give her time to adjust... Cats are very picky creatures. As far as toys go, cats are picky creatures and each one is different. You can try all kinds of expensive toys, and get nothing from her. Then one day you toss a crumbled piece of paper on the ground she happy all again. So experement on that route.. but try cheap stuff first. It is matter of finding what the cat like.
