Well, as I mentioned in my previous journal, I have recently become a player of the MMORPG Champions Online.

I've really got into it in quite a big way. Even going so far as to upgrade from a free silver account to a subsciber gold account (I found a way to do it cheaply by buying cheap game time cards from dealers on ebay). I just really wanted the extra powers, costume pieces and options you get with gold. Plus the monthly stipend of 400 'cryptic points' to spend in the store buying extra stuff is nice :)

Anyway, with a gold account you get 8 character slots (its 2 on silver). So far I have only used 6 of them, as detailed below. Since screenshots are not allowed here on FA, I used photobucket to show you all what they look like.

One of the features of a gold account is a free extra costume slot (which are used to give a character an alternate oufit) when a character reaches level 15 and another at 30, so a couple of characters have alternate costumes.

Heroes

This guy originally started out as me just wanting to try out the 'soldier' power set, and was meant to be temporary. But I got attached to him, and he's now my oldest, most advanced character in the game.

For his first alternate costume, me being me, I decided to give him a more 'scantily-clad' look... :)

Of course, I had to have a wolf character! Created to be a more traditional sort of superhero after the soldier tiger. For his alternate, I also gave him a half-naked look... :)

Technomancer

This guy came about as a result of wanting to use the 'Inventor' power set and me wanting to try some of the other beastial parts in the game, and ended up settling on a rat.

I was just playing with the games character creator and the idea for this guy just came to me, so I ran with it... :)

Ultra Ursine

Please note, the bear head isn't among the free stuff in the game. It was part of a costume pack I got from the game's store. I did briefly consider trying to create my Superfur character in the game, but ultimately decided he wouldn't translate too well. So I created a brand new bear superhero instead... :)

My most recent creation in the game, as I wanted to have a mystical character, as well as try out a reptillian character. I also went with scantily-clad from the outset with him... :)

Villains

Yes, Champions Online does allow you thye chance to create some villains of your own (well, sort of), using their 'nemesis' system.

Basically, when a character reaches level 25, you get the chance to create a nemesis for them, picking what kind of powers they have, their mentality, what kind of minions they'll have at their command, and what they look like.

You'll then get ambushed now and again by his minions, who'll sometimes drop clues that activate missions in which you have to foil the plans of your nemesis. It's quite fun.

So far, only 2 of my characters have reached level 25, and these are the villains I have created for them:

So far, I have for the most part just been playing the game solo, but I wouldn't mind meeting other furries in the game. I am curious, does anyone else here play it?
