If you want an inexpensive tablet, Monoprice has a pretty good selection. Hell, I bought one from them a month ago just to fool around with, and it works well, but I'm never gonna really use it. if you'd want it.

No problem. For reference, the tablet's 4 x 5.5 in. in drawing space, if that's workable for you.

Did you make sure the setting on the cintique switch is on DVI instead of VGA? The adapter to for DVI to HDMI could be the culprit. I currently have Cintique 21 that I have to occassionally unplug and replug the HDMI from the adapter to restore image on the screen. Hope this helps.

i'm not sure if you read the other journal, but my cpu overheated. it had nothing to do with the switch, but thanks.

nah, it doesn't seem that way. i think the fail safe kicked in when it needed to. it was the first time it'd ever happened. i think she just needs a good cleaning and her fans need to be replaced if they aren't turning (they were cheap and kind of crappy, frankly). i think she can be saved!

I never bought cheap fans for my cases. After dealing with the crap fans they used at my job. I bought those 10 yr ball bearing fans that had the low Db ratings and the silicon cushions for the mounting to reduce vibration noise.

About to try setting up the HDMI/DVI cable now, and I also (freakishly) located the pen for my old Graphire 2 tablet... after looking for it for a year. X3 so I'm definitely in the clear while we try to fix the PC. And hell, my office is so much more open now without two computers on the desk X3 We could say maybe this was a good thing, after all.

at least you can keep working thats the main thing :3

unfortunately, my laptop isn't detecting my cintiq as a display, so it looks like i have a lot of work ahead of me tonight...
