I got a Roland Juno 106! (that is a very specific synthesizer for you non-synth geeks)
Some guy on Craigslist had it in storage for the better part of 10 years. 300 bones.. not bad for a vintage synth, especially the exact one I have always wanted.
I have wanted a Juno from the first day I started getting into synths. It is arguably the synth that got me into synths.
I waited, and waited, and lost opportunities, picked up other synths. So on and so forth for years on end.
So, recently when I had asked on if anyone on FA had a synth for trade (half jokingly, as I would not trade a full fursuit for just any old thing) I started looking on ebay to see what they where currently going for. There is one Juno 60 that is up to 800 dollars! They didn't even sell for that much new. They are actually lower end synths of the time. Nice, but not top of the line.
So, even though it was somewhat impulsive, I knew that in a few years even though I may have the money to buy one, I would be hard pressed to spend over 1000 dollars for something so novel.
Anyway, I am one happy geek.

Have you set it up yet!? =D
funny story.
Half the patches I have on my Novation Supernova are modeled of sounds I heard from Junos. I made over 50 of them. Side by side they are damn close. The Juno actually sounds worse in some ways. I still like the idea of just playing a synth without over thinking it.
