*sigh* too shy to be a furry T-T

I really dislike posting journals about my personal life, but I'm bored and after a long day it feels good to let it out.
I posted some of my better pieces of art in my locker to try and be a little more open about my anthropomorphic interests. Someone commented "furry" while walking past, but not necessarily in a mocking tone of voice. Still though, it was enough to make me realize that if someone ever DID mock me for this, I would probably be devastated. My sensitivity is frustrating. With a heart like this, I often wonder if I should have even made the small attempt at expression that I did.

Don't be afraid to embrace who you are, and if people can't accept it then that's their problem. Don't worry about what others say, just be you, and you'll be happy:)

I would probably react... like... damn right I'm a furry!!!
but yeah.... idk ... maybe later would be like curl up in a ball or go on here and tell people about it (usually doesn't tell personal things)
being a furry is a unique ability that some share. i think you need a hug. [hugs]
