Over Internet MTG, not MTG online program.

I want to figure out a way to play Magic The Gathering over the net without paying for new cards and a new program, etc.
Who wants to help me experiment with different ways?
The games would take longer because of set up, but we'd be able to pause them to come back to later ;)

I'm afraid I can't do much searching for you here at work, but it's something you could possibly look into.
http://findmagiccards.com/Cards/GP/.....Hate_Seed.html
and I couldn't find a card called resounding truth, link me please :)
you just couldn't target them XD
But I came across another idea. I tried this with a friend, and it works, but it's kind of slow, but still effective.
At http://magic.tcgplayer.com/ you can put in the cards you want after you make a free account, then there is this thing called solitaire mode, which is used to play the deck out to see if it works when there's no opponent (because of course if it fails on its own, it's not a very good deck).
But, if you just keep track of the cards somewhere else, like an e-mail thread (because the solitaire program doesn't save info if you close its window), then two people could play solitaire against each other, and duel!
Let me know if you want to try this out, I'm always looking for people willing to try this offbeat playing method =)
i'll look at them both and see what's best :)
But let me know if you find it to work at all, I could just build a deck with older cards. (I started playing in 2007, so I'm more familiar with the later cards.) I'd like to play with you =)
Update the masterbase at www.slightlymagic.net.
And any questions can go to the forums on www.magic-league.com, which is the main organized play site for MWS.
Then again, I've been out of the loop for ~3 years *shrugs*
