This isn't against MLP. I do not care for it. I've finally brought this out of the woodwork since I think it's time to take control of how you want this site to look. I've always disliked banners which don't fit the aesthetic of the website. But that's up to you to control. Fortunately we have ways to enhance or personalize our browsing experience through extensions and addons. In many cases you can override the color scheme and overall look of the site.
"FOR PEOPLE WITH A SENSE OF ADVENTURE ONLY
I have uploaded my set of scripts I've been personally using for making FA a bit more usable:
To use these userscripts, you need one of the following:
a) Google Chrome
b) Firefox with the Greasmonkey extension installed ( find Greasemonkey here : https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fi...../greasemonkey/ )
http://krhainos.tk/stopbreakingfa.user.js
Misc fixes : images wider then your browser will be scaled down, one-line "broken" comments won't scroll off the page, and usericons are 100px square
http://krhainos.tk/nofalogo-d.user.js (dark theme users)
http://krhainos.tk/nofalogo-l.user.js (light theme users)
For those that don't like new banner images. Sorry about the "flicker" problem where you see the original image for a split second -- not sure there's much I can do that as userscripts are rendered AFTER pages are fully downloaded. "

Install the above Chrome Extension.

#fa_header
{
display: block;
width: 525px;
height: 135px;
background: #2E3B41 url(http://krhainos.tk/fabanner-d.png) no-repeat scroll 0%;
}
I've added this CSS rule to Remove those pesky borders which act like padding around the interior of headers and containers.
.cat
{
background-color: #6A7283;
color: #fff;
border: 0px;
}

It's not the fact that it's a banner I don't like. It's the fact that I have a little more control over what I see and do on FA.
