I don't usually weigh in on drama...

But when I do, it's pony related. My reaction to the new banner (and the reaction thereto):
-This banner is awesome. I have wanted one for months and I can't believe they did it!
-No one ever likes the banner anyway. I canNOT remember a single banner that didn't cause butthurt. Less butthurt than others perhaps, but there are alwaysneighnaysayers.
-You know bronies hate furries, right? The fandom started on 4chan and you can't mention furries around bronies without at least one starting a shitstorm. It's the greatest hypocrisy of the brony fandom.
-I apparently watch a lot of very sensible, level-headed people, as the worst negative reaction I've seen so far has been, "It looks like shit."
-Taste my pain when Fat Bunny Week happens EVERY GODDAMN YEAR.
-Someone who I suppose is a fairly popular artist posted a reaction picture and got 800 fucking comments on it, most of which were "FUCK I HATE PONIES RAGERAGERAGE". One guy said if you're a brony, you renounce the title of 'furry'. WAT
-The furry fandom has seriously reached a new low, and that's saying something. If I had to renounce my furriness to be a brony, I so would. That said, I still like this place way too much to ever give up on it, even if I feel like it's given up on me.

...and the ultimate tragedy in this all is that this is our lives (our life?). There is no bigger picture. This is the picture.

Perhaps members of FA as a whole should have more of a say as to what banner goes on the site? A poll or something? Meh... I dunno.
What does bother me is that it's coming from furries. I suppose some silly, optimistic part of me still expects better from this fandom. I don't know why anymore, honestly.
But I couldn't help myself after watching how violently the forums exploded over this issue. I have to act professional over there (at least in Site Discussions), but over here I can be as immature and lame as I want, and there was a pressure building up.
