Honestly? I can pair Nightcrawler with anyone. I've paired him with Wolverine, Cyclops, Colossus, and even Doctor Strange (lolwut). He's an extremely comlimentary character, so him with Toad isn't a problem.

Toad, however. I'm very picky about my Mortimer Toynbee. And yes, Mort is the version I prefer. HOWEVAH. I don't mind the Evo-verse of X-Men (best cartoon ever), but when it comes to Toad, I have my pickiness. If the Evo-verse is what I'm working with, I prefer to pair him with the Blob, since they had a very close relationship in the show. If its classics, I generally like to write Toad with an unrequited love for Magneto.

First off... I TOTALLY didn't just look up what X-Statix was. Nope. No sir. Not me.

Okay, I totally did. And now I know who the green jelly bean on my Marvel poster is. Yay!
As for the pairing, I would have to know who they were, and a little bit about them before I worked with them in anyway, but I'm always open to trying new things. The Wikipedia article I read didn't really capture my interest, but who knows?

You said the magical "C" word, my friend. I love Caliban. He's incredibly amazing, and incredibly hard to slash, as most Morlocks are (with the exception of Berzerker, thanks to X-Men Evolution).
Your art was amazing, let me just say that. I'm not quite sure if it would get to OTP levels, but I would not mind seeing more.
