I can enjoy the simplicity of the show and the animation is actually nicely done but you are correct in saying to each their own. Don't think you are fanning the flames good sir; just stating a very valid point.

It's a very well produced cartoon. Innocent fun that doesn't insult the kids' intelligence unlike so many other alternatives nowadays. That's all.

I can't say much for or against it. I tend to watch tv shows while working and this season of MLP is ~just~ entertaining enough to watch while working.
Admittedly I think I find the character DEFECTS the most entertaining. ;p

I thought this fandom was pretty well off practicing tolerance and patience, but I overestimated some people about how they hate the show.

I don't care much to watch or even have the time to see MLP, but what the hell, I won't get in other people's way if that's how they have fun. It's pretty innocent subject matter so I can't complain.

No, you're right, but just as there are very vocal "anti-brony" people that are fueling the latest drama, the same can be said for the vocal Bronies that kind of shove their affection right in everyone else's face and mock those that truly don't get it.

The whole "denial is magic" thing on the banner might be said in good fun, but I don't need anyone telling me that I'm wrong for not liking a pre-school cartoon in an admittedly obsessive way.

Again, we all have our "thing" in this fandom. I'm just a fan of things becoming cool organically...and this whole "brony" thing just comes off so heavyhandedly forced.

Some of my friends like the show, and suggested I watch it. I checked out a couple of episodes. It's alright. I was expecting it to be some sarcastic reboot of the series based on fan reactions, but it's still obviously a kid's show.

Also, I'd never felt more lame in my whole life than when that theme song started to play, haha.

I don't really care if people watch it. The only time people really need to grow the hell up is when they flip their shit over this show, Think it's awesome? Cool, fine. But when you start to lose it because, whether fan or hater, something about this show really pisses you off, you gotta step back and realize you look like a total psycho for getting up in arms over a little girl's cartoon.

The show is written for people of all ages, the purpose being so parents can watch the show with their kids and actually enjoy it instead of get sick while trying to keep a fake smile on. Um, smoking is actually harmful. MLP happens to be a harmless and even educational show that just suits some people more than others. As I said, you don't have to like it, but if someone else likes it, let them. Do you like it when people who don't know what being a furry is bash you? Seriously, just get over it. They're not gonna stop liking it just cuz you tell them too, and they're going to express their broniness just like you express your furriness.

you need to understand that one of the episodes made a reference to Hoof and Mouth disease ("over a barrel") and made a reference to an old viral video (Zay Tonday's Chocolate Rain [Return of Harmony, Pt. 1]), 2 things 6 year old girls will never understand.

To be honest. The show literally scares me. Not only on how popular it has gotten, how so many artist I like have completely stop their art and do none stop pony art, but what actually happened to me at work.

I have had 2 college looking guys wearing some leather armor shoulder and bracelets and some cool looking goggles come up to me and ask about if we had the next My little pony movie come out or if we were sold out. And then when get really sad when we were sold out. I mean truly scary

So glad I'm not the oonly one whos noticed this pony thing,maybe it's just the thing of the times. I get a bit weirded out with pokemon and stuff coz well frankly it was after my time.

I just find it funny how a bunch of people who act and pretend to be walking, talking animals take offense to others liking a show about talking animals. I understand the fans can be annoying but so are the anti-pony trolls. I like looney tunes and other "kids" show but like good kid's show they have jokes and references that appeal to older audience. I think the whole drama thing is so silly to be honest, let people do what they want. You wanna pray to an invisible man in the sky? Awesome! Wanna watch a show about ponies? Great! I won't insult your intelligence based off things that you enjoy. :)
