Eh, it's more of like, when something goes wrong or FA goes down, it cuts to a close up of a shrug and freezes with "That's our Furaffinity~". It's pretty sad when it's the most active and successful porn site furry social and artistic hub yet everyone has to put low ass standards on it because "it's free". FA; the website where it was once a shiny new apartment building to house great ideas and hold promise of golden tomorrows. Now it's falling apart, not up to code, and has some fat guy in a Cheeto stained tanktop that barely fits running the building and he's never around when something needs desperately fixed but always shows up if you are late with rent or has heard you talked bad about 'im.

Though, one could easily lurk on FA and use it as a great human sociology project study. They could just observe how people work and act on here (filtering out the murry purry stuff) and would get a lot of good data over the course of a month, or better, a year.

UGH, I know =/ I'm not wanting to take the site over or be the one to put people in charge to make the site run better. If in the future I am apart of a site, then it WOULD be my job. But alas, as a lowly peasant of the Furaffinity.net/kingdom, I have no say (or in some cases, the ability to say) anything about the ruling of the site. *sighs* I don't know why it always has to become a popularity contest/power struggle... You'd think being the owner and operator of a website would make you more, you know, like, responsible or something. Then again this is just a reflection of other corporations where the CEOs tend to be clueless or assholes and the people on the desk flick paper footballs at each other and just hope the place doesn't crash and burn. *sighs* I'm sure if you poll, seriously poll, folks on if they are happy with FA, they'll agree that it just existing should get a lot of good points. How it's run, however, and the crappy coding? It makes a huge number want to leave. But no one does. Because no one else does. People are holding themselves hostage as they don't want to leave friends who don't want to leave their friends either. And riots don't work. Members are suspended/blocked/deleted from the site and all the people who don't care or white knighting wind up drowning out all the comments that question the handling of the site. And, of coarse, serious things that hit the fan like the FA Leaks and the VigLink bullshit gets labeled as "drama", like it's the same scenario as Charlie cheating on Steph with Marcy at the local sock hop. *sighs* FA members who want change and a better site just need to pick one of the other handful of sites out there and make a mass walk out. That way all the people who like Derponeer can sit here and oogle at the site (thus making it a porn site like people insist it is) and everyone else can use a site that would be better in so many ways.

I doubt the desk-standers would do anything to stop a walk out. Tis' true that trying to organize one would be damn near impossible. It's interesting if you think about FA goin' down the drain though. Barely anyone has a plan-B site to fall back on. Th' hell are people gonna do when that day comes?

Most-to-all these sites have ways of uploading, hosting, sorting, and commenting (save for VCL) and keeping in touch with other people to do trades, co-ops, and comish. Better coded, better service, better features... 'Oh, but they're different, and FA is free'. *rolls eyes* If things can pan out in the future, I'd like to team up with a couple friends to make one. Even if it's something simple. It's not that making a site is impossible or hard to maintain. It's just getting the server/site domain cost that bites you in the ass =/

The staff at FA have heard your fine request and have taken the necessary measures to enact such new policies.

Unfortunately, responding in their usual manner, they have actually implemented a "FA SUGGESTION HEX".

Meaning that, anyone that comes up with thoughtful ideas or critiques the inner workings of this site in any way at all, will get a HIDEOUS CURSE cast upon them by the powers that be.

To be fair, Skunktember is something Bravo and co made up, I think! And I work in an office of nerds and no one talked like a pirate. I guess the joke is old by now. =S

Wull Vermy kicked off Fatty Fender Friday! Other people had their holidays recognized too (like Fat Bunny week). I think Skunktember is a fun thing ^^ Hahahahahaha, oh man, I want to just sit in your office and listen to you people talk~ I keep thinking of that one Geico commercial where they're like "Do people do stupid things with smarphones?" and cuts to three guys goofing off. It always sounds like there's a good deal of fun that goes on (yet still manages to have a lot of work get done... HOW DOES THAT WORK???).

The ending suggestion most people wouldn't get. Only a few people bothered to look into things and caught another shady thing the guy has done and I was just poking fun at it. In all honesty, with how little people know about 'Neer's sock puppet account, I'm sure he COULD pull off playing out he sold the site to the "other guy" and make people think the site is under new management and will be fixed up. 'Course he'd have to ban all the folks trying to show it's still him~

WULL, last night, I couldn't sleep thanks to a headache so I browsed FA. Or, would have browsed, but saw an erect penis on the front page (not a drawn one, but a gross photographed one). Bunch of folks thought it was just a troll trying to ban themselves, but upon closer looking, they were on here a good time, so it was -possible- that they had their account hacked and someone was posting these photos. Nearly an hour goes by (I think it just needed like, 10 minuts until it hit the next hour on the Est time zone) and by the time that photo was taken down (having like a HUNDRED comments on it or so, tons of views, who knows how many reportings through TT, and even a few faves JUST to get attention to -anyone- on the desk to flag the photos and lock the compromised account), the account soon then posted two more genital photos. Then two more after that. After witnessing yet another problem go down and -no Admin- around to fix the situation, I couldn't help but shrug and wish FA did a better job... It's gotten so sad that the community catching these problems that aren't being fixed have made bets on how long the pictures would be up and making meme macros making fun of the situation. But the community has -never- had any power, and the ones with power are either lazy, or in this case, just not around due to time zone issues (IE, it's better for someone to attack FA in the night when everyone is sleeping). Before going to bed, I typed up a few suggestions that would make the site better (IF they wanted to really do anything about anything) and threw in the sad fact that only a tiny handful of people remembered it was Talk like a Pirate day yesterday and the idea of Skunktember (where you draw a skunk, maybe yourself as one too) didn't take off and it was a montly thing for fun. *shrugs* The journal didn't really have a point. I'm not going to bother with any more journals with points anyways. They either get ignored or piss people off (while not getting answers when I ask them).

im not bothered or pissed off you know since you have the right to voice your thoughts and opinions on things but yea i do agree that some things need a change too tho
