10% Basic Mesh started (Sketch)
20% Colored Base Mesh (Daft / Proof)
30% Clean Base Mesh (Inks)
40% sculpted (Detail)
50% Retopo (.. Create new final poly mesh from final sculpt)
60% textured painted (Flats)
70% Spec, Bump and normal maps (Shaded)
80% rigged (Background)
90% test Animated (Final Proof)
100% .. Let the "Real" art begin...

I think I've finally cracked the workflow in 3D coat.. woo, thats going to be fun. Really neat what I can do with it now.
3D-Coat is actually a differnt type of sculpting workflow, its a 2 step Voxel / Retopo, where your final low poly mesh is created around your high detail sculpt, then the normal, bump and displacement maps are auto-generated from the detail sculpt for the low poly mesh. .. its got all the tools, just a differnt workflow. Stick with what works best for you. I'm using 3D-Coat because of the Retopo Tools - being able to create low poly meshes with High detail textures and full mesh and edge loop control.

- most refs are available in both my gallery and scraps. Each of these characters were adopted designs, so they're each completely open to a freedom of design, and artistic interpretation.
