BLEK scanner death

My scanner is total crap and has decided to not be recognized by my computer. It is/was a canoscan 8000 so if anyone knows of a cheap scanner that could replace it, please do tell me about it!

I never got to show you guys my Christmas chihuahua and I just drew a glam squeekbat too :(
