I'm sure you all are just full of confusion with this sudden move, but it's something I've been planning for a little bit now.
Ummm, for all of you simply finding my account on your own accord, rather than through my previous main, I used to be
.
I guess I'll just do this all in FAQ style, since I can already foresee the questions that I'll be getting asked.
-Will you still be drawing birds?
Yes I will be. I'm still the 'bird artist' you all know and love, but I'm adding a bit more variety into it, rather than just birds. Hence why my main character has changed. Birds aren't the only thing I can draw! But I do love to draw them a hell of a lot and this move isn't going to stop me from drawing them. I didn't move so I could completely overwrite everything I do and love. I'm still good ol' Hoot/Ash. \
-Why did you move?
Truthfully, I moved because I feel that Hoot holds a really painful past. Ever since I joined FA on Hoot, I've never had the ability to prosper on my own. I just have a really negative view now of the account, and I found it more useful for me to just make a move, and start off on a clean slate.
I'm not trying to pretend to be someone else. I'm not trying to act like someone else. In fact, the only thing that's changed here is my fursona, which is now a dragon, Lovebird, and my furaffinity name. The art's still the same, everything's still the same, my history doesn't change one bit, neither does my personality or views, it just feels like it comes with a breath of fresh air. :)
-Does this mean 'Hoot' the gryphon is gone...?
Oh no! Really, what happened with Hoot is, to put it simply, she stepped down from the throne. She 'retired'. I'll still draw her plenty, I'm sure, but while she's stepped down from my fursona spot, Lovebird's stepped up. I've had Hoot since 2005. She went from a crazy, poopy brown, complicated looking gryphon, to the way she is now. I've had far too much history with her to give her up, and she has a lot of sentimental value to me. I was thinking about giving her up, but I simply couldn't do it. In fact, it was hard deciding to switch fursonas to begin with. Making Lovebird finally likeable enough to call her my fursona meant that I had to give her some Hoot attributes. I gave her the fluffy butt, and on the back of her rump she has a little heart. :> When I make a proper ref for her, you'll be able to see all of what I mean.
It also just feels darn good to have a character that doesn't have a beak. My gosh, making expressions with beaks is just a darn pain. :<
But that's really about it. If you have any more questions, go ahead and ask them in the journal! Otherwise, I hope to have more decent art, and my commissions, up soon once my spark comes back. <3

it was hard for me to let go of one of my fursonas like you did as well. but like you said, good ol' emo pneumonia is retired. LOL.
though, just to throw it out there, since I don't want you to feel obligated. I am willing to make either character

also, I don't think I will be going to furry fiesta anymore. So the deadline doesn't /have/ to be in february. If you want to get it done by then, to keep it planned, by all means thats fine, though. <3 But you can take all the time you need. It helps me collect the money, too.
Can't wait to see more of the lovebird. ^^

Call me now? You can still call me Hoot. :> Or Love, or Bird, or Lovebird.

also, I don't know about any of those, unless you are still keeping Hoot in streams, that should change. Love sounds like I'm refering you as a gf, bird is sort too general, and lovebird is too long, I'mma lazy man. :V
and were you streaming when you were gone, I missed them if you did ;n;
because I can definitely inform you all with a suspension :I
honestly, i dont care what you call me lol. but it'll only bother me if you call me my real name and I don't know you that well, which is Ash, but most people call me that anyway.
and i only did about once or twice.
