No, not really... I've done it myself a ton of times. The hard part is catching the rabbit the first time =P

Nope. He went through doors he shouldn't have by using a trick with that rabbit in the basement (( which is why you need the 16 stars in the first place, to make the rabbit appear )), and for going through the endless stairs early, he used a glitch involving the forward thrust and going backwards, thus going up the stairs before it warps him down.
