Thinking of selling or auctioning designs

I have quite a few old character designs that I really like that I don't plan on using and don't want to do to waste, so I was putting serious thought into auctioning off their designs with an additional picture for the winner or something.
I just wanted to gauge some responses! Good idea or no? Would anyone be interested in that?
